Keeping your palm in place, tap the door like you did the first time. The difference in pitch and volume gives you an idea how a sheet of SikaDamp 630 works. Here are some examples of SikaDamp in action:
A gasoline spill ruined the OEM soundproofing in this Subaru. Instead of replacing it, we installed SikaDamp 630 from the firewall to the trunk. The owner said the car was much quieter than before.
SikaDamp tamed the engine roar, excessive road noise and loud exhaust system of a 2014 F-150. The truck also felt "more solid" after we covered the side panels, roof and floor pan with sound dampening sheets.
A convertible is never going to be whisper-quiet, but SikaDamp 630 can make a difference. After carpeting the floor with SikaDamp 630, the owner reports a 20% reduction in road noise even with the top down.
